Work Papers
2023
Photos by Griffin Morse

This project addressed work culture on a physically small scale using letterpress and risograph printing. I created an edition of books that use the visual language and materials of an office setting. Once the books are opened, however, the viewer finds a repetitive, abstract pile of prints that convey the meaninglessness of the labor at hand.

The interior of Work Papers Vol. 1 displays repetitive pressure prints created on a letterpress printer using crumpled up paper from my own working life. Vol. 2 displays an equally meaningless series of risograph prints, abstractions of Google spreadsheets.
